  1. A Student has to choose two subjects (one pass and one honours or two pass) out of the following two groups of subjects. First Group :mathematics ,physics, chemistry,(physical science)
    Second Group: botany,.zoology.chemistry,(biology science)
  2. The minor elective for the first group is biology for physical science students and for the second group is mathematics and statistics for Bio. Science students
  3. One major elective subject is to be chosen out of following subjects: Mathematics/biotechnology/material science/industrial chemistry/physics/chemistry.
  4. However a student how has taken mathematics as a pass or hons. Subject cannot take the major elective as a math. Physics as a pass or honours subject cannot take the major elective as physics. Chemistry as a pass or honours subject cannot take the major elective as chemistry and industrial chemistry.

+3 Course

  1. The three year degree course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science and Commerce, Berhampur University Shall be spread over a period of three academic years. A candidate for the Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science and Commerce shall be required to pass the following examination.
    1. First University Examination at the end of first year..
    2. Second University Examination at the end of 2nd year.
    3. Final University Examination at the end of 3rd year.
  2. A candidate shall be eligible to appear second final university Examination only if he/she has registered for the first and second University Examination respectively. However his / her result shall not be published unless he/she has passed in the First and Second University Examination respectively.
  3. A candidate who has been admitted into a college with particular subject(s) or combination of subjects into the first year may be allowed change of subject(s) or combination of subjects by the Principal till thirty days after the last date of submission.
  4. Any registered student of the University may be admitted to the Second Examination for the Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce if he/she has cleared the first examination  in the concerned stream or has appeared  the said examination and has thereafter completed a regular course of study for not less than one academic year in the second year examination in the subjects which he/she offers, provide that he/she is not otherwise ineligible for appearing the said examination.
  5. Any registered student of the University may be admitted to the Final Examination for the Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce if he/she has cleared the second examination in concerned stream or has appeared the said examination and has thereafter completed a regular course of study for not less than one academic year in the final year course in one or more colleges  admitted for the purpose of such examination in the subjects which he/she offers, provided that he/she is not otherwise ineligible for appearing the said examination.
